Inspecting life, labour, love through iridescent lenses of indigenaiety, digital pop culture, queerness, parenting and domesticity.
The c word haunts us. Dominating and fracturing us. Owning our relationships and headspace. Commodifying everything that lies in its’ wake, identity, love, politics, education. The planet we inhabit and the everything we share it with.
This exhibition explores capitalism’s big footprint on our lives, stories and journeys. From decimating the pollen supply from bees and silencing their communication with indigenous Taiwanese women through to commodification and control over the narrative and stories that dominate computer games and cinema. The oppression caused by capitalism, fast fashion and a society obsessed with what’s next; not at what cost and to whom.
Time Changes Everything // Everything Changes Time is an exhibition of works presented by SAE Creative Media University College at Vacant Assembly featuring; Jenny Fraser, Kellie O’Dempsey, The Ironing Maidens, Anchi Lin and Xavier Ho.

ISEA2024 acknowledges the Turrbal and Yugara as the First Nations owners of the lands where the symposium will be held. We pay our respects to their elders, lores, customs and creation spirits. We also acknowledge and pay respects to all First Nations peoples across the continent and beyond Australian shores.
