ISEA2024 acknowledges the Turrbal and Yugara as the First Nations owners of the lands where the symposium will be held. We pay our respects to their elders, lores, customs and creation spirits. We also acknowledge and pay respects to all First Nations peoples across the continent and beyond Australian shores.
Registration
Registration is now open for ISEA2024.
Registration fees are based on the date of receipt of payment (not the registration date). All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include 10% Australian Goods and Services Tax (GST).

Virtual registration
Virtual delegates will have access to parts of the onsite ISEA2024 program at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre. Further details on what parts of the program will be available in a hybrid capacity will be confirmed in the coming weeks.

Anyone who registers for onsite attendance, but then at a later date is unable to travel to the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, will be transferred over to a virtual registration type and will be refunded* the difference in price up until 5pm Friday 31 May 2024. *See cancellations and refund policy below for specific details on our refund polices.
Student/Concession registration – available for those who hold a current student identification card or concession card.
As a student to be eligible you will need to upload a copy of your student ID card or a written statement from your supervisor verifying your student status during the registration process.
For concession card holders you will need to upload a copy of your valid concession card.
Independent artist registration – available to independent or unaffiliated artists who are not affiliated with or employed by a university, research centre, artistic creation centre, or public or private institution.
Full onsite registration includes:
- Access to all exhibitions and performances as part of the creative program
- Access to all conference sessions at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre
- All morning teas and lunches on the three days of the conference at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre
- Access to all events/social functions included in the ISEA2024 program.
Day onsite registration includes:
- Access to all exhibitions and performances as part of the creative program on the nominated day of attendance
- Access to all conference session at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre on the nominated day of attendance
- Morning tea and lunch on the nominated day of attendance at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre
- Access to any events/social functions included in the ISEA2024 program on the nominated date of attendance.
Accommodation and travel expenses are additional to the registration fees. Accommodation can be booked during the online registration process.
Virtual registrations include:
- Access to parts of the onsite ISEA2024 program at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre
There will be a selection of workshops as part of the ISEA2024 program, most workshops will be included in the registration fee, however some may incur an additional cost to participate. Further details will be provided once the workshop program is finalised.
When you register online, you will receive confirmation of your registration straight away via email including a tax invoice.
If you do not receive this confirmation email, please first check your spam folder then contact the symposium organiser via [email protected].
All payments must be in Australian dollars (AUD). Payment may be made by:
Credit card – MasterCard or Visa.
Note that payments will appear as Expert Events on your credit card statement.
Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). Details provided on tax invoice.
Payment is due 14 days from the date of registration or prior to the commencement of the conference (whichever is first). If you are seeking the early registration rate, payment must be made prior to the early registration deadline.
Cancellations must be advised in writing to the symposium organiser.
Registration cancellations received by 5pm on Friday 10 May 2024 will receive a refund of registration fees, less an administrative charge of AUD110.
Registration cancellations received after 5pm on Friday 10 May 2024 but prior to 5pm on Friday 31 May 2024, will receive a refund of 50% of registration fees paid and 100% of any function tickets paid.
Cancellations received after 5pm on Friday 31 May 2024 will not be eligible for a refund.
Anyone who registers for onsite attendance, but then at a later date is unable to travel to the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, will be transferred over to a virtual conference registration type and will be refunded* the difference in price up until 5pm Friday 31 May 2024. Any onsite registrations which transfer over to a virtual registration type after 5pm on Friday 31 May 2024 will not be eligible for a refund of the price difference between registration types.
Registrations are transferable to a colleague at any time prior to the event provided the symposium organiser is advised in writing.
